How to Check Whether an Online Earning Platform Is Legitimate
A repeatable source-first checklist for checking domains, payment claims, upfront fees, privacy demands and support channels.

Find the official domain independently and compare it with the link you received. Look for legal terms, privacy information and support channels that use the same domain. Search for the company name with words such as scam, complaint or review, but separate verifiable policy documents from anonymous claims. A polished interface or payment screenshot is not proof of a legitimate operator.
Never pay to unlock earnings
The US Federal Trade Commission warns that task scams often display fake commissions and then demand a deposit to continue or withdraw. A request to send money, cryptocurrency or gift cards to receive supposed earnings is a stop signal. Legitimate platforms may have ordinary third-party payment fees, but those should be documented and should not require sending money to an unofficial recruiter.
Verify the exact earning claim
Check whether the official source describes the task, eligibility, payment method, threshold and timing. Distinguish an advertised project incentive from an average or guaranteed income. If availability depends on country, profile or demand, record that limitation rather than converting it into a worldwide claim.
Protect personal information
Identity or tax verification can be legitimate, but submit sensitive information only inside the confirmed platform or payment provider. Do not send documents through unsolicited chat. Use unique passwords, enable strong account protection and keep a record of the task terms and support correspondence. If the domain, recruiter or payment instructions do not match official documentation, pause and contact the platform through a known channel.
